My first time in a restaurant by Gordon Ramsay, and it doesn’t disappoint. Bread Street Kitchen is a lovely spot for a relaxing lunch with quality food at Atlantis Dubai! (and don’t forget to try the beef wellington - Gordon Ramsay’s signature!)

So, last Friday (yes, weekends are Friday and Saturday here) my family headed to Shangri La Dubai to check out the weekend a-la-carte buffet offered at the Vietnamese restaurant Hoi An. (I sincerely apologise about the quality of the photos, the lighting and everything made it a bit difficult but this is what I have)

Sharing a great eating spot at City Walk, and this time it’s Mitts & Trays City Walk! This is a really good option for Western food developed by Chef Amna. You’ve got a really wide menu, decent prices and a whole lot of fresh ingredients to go around here!

So, I’m back in Dubai for the summer holidays and the first foodie spot I’m recommending is Cocoa Room Galleria Mall Dubai! This review is basically covering their breakfast options and NOT their lunch/dinner options, so do keep this in mind.

I had one dinner to eat at Changi and a REALLY limited budget (I mistook my budget and ultimately had less than SGD30 - and consider I might have had my luggage being over the weight limit, etc.), so I thought a really good option would be Pink Fish Jewel Changi, which I saw quite a bit of on YouTube and some other sites.

I feel like if you’re going to Changi and want Instagram worthy desserts, you pretty much just head to either Birds of Paradise or Emack and Bolio’s. The differences are pretty distinct, and I think you can see the differences right from when you seen the respective shops.

I was pretty intrigued when I saw quite a few Instagram posts about this restaurant serving up sizzling hot plate dishes, so naturally I went to check it out! It is none other than Johor Bahru’s very own Mad Plate Malaysia restaurant!

With similar origins to the wildly famous (I have lots of friends who swear by this Bak Kut Teh) Bak Kut Teh from Kota Tinggi, Kiang Kee Bak Kut Teh (强记肉骨茶), Kota Zheng Zhong offers Johor Bahru-ians a chance to experience that very taste right from Nusa Bestari.

I think the only possible way to describe kuey chap would be that it is a dish that utilises every single possible part of a pig (meat, intestines, even the blood!) and mixes it in with a clean tasting soy sauce based broth to concoct a delicious combination.

Poke bowls are something I LOVE eating. They’re healthy, nutritious and taste really yum (got lots of flavour with the fruits, nuts and what not), so it isn’t too much of a surprise today that I’m sharing a really nice poke bowl stop in Poke Twins Mount Austin.

I feel as though Hakka food has that very special homely feel to it. Maybe because I have some Hakka background in my family, maybe it is just the style of cooking. Hakka Traditional Foods Gelang Patah is a fantastic place to get your fix of Hakka food!

Today I’m sharing one of the more local delights in Bukit Indah, Claytisfy! This is a really popular restaurant serving up claypot chicken rice that I honestly go back for time and time again.

Whether you are planning to study in Newcastle University (NUMed), Southampton University (UoSM), Multimedia University (MMU), Raffles University Iskandar or Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology, they all fall under the same roof of Educity - and are all within 10 minutes walking distance of each other.

Whether it be a long drive, or an easy run in the evening, I absolutely LOVE listening to podcasts. They’re really easy to listen to, I love the stories and the discussions podcasts contain and it is quite simply a fantastic way to just unwind and relax.

So, a few of you guys who frequent my blog a bit might know that I’m quite a KFC fanboy, so every time a new KFC promotion is out, I’ll probably be there to try it within a week.
